All of it is phony! Of course the idea of it sounds enticing, but it's just a hoax and an easy way for people who do that kind of treatment to get money out of you. You're not removing any stuff that you wouldn't remove by regular bathroom visits anyway.
References :
It depends on what you're trying to do it for. If you're just trying to clean out the bad stuff and help regularity, then colon cleanses are best, although the powders are usually easier so you aren't swallowing a dozen pills at a time. Colon cleanses are typically mostly fiber and herbs that encourage regularity, so they are very beneficial and safe.
If you are doing it for a colonoscopy or something where your colon needs to be REALLY clean, then hydrotherapy is the only option.

If you're wondering which is safer, that would be the colon cleanser. There are some things that should be in your colon (specifically probiotics) that an enema would wash out which could be detrimental to long-term regularity. In other words, an enema is only a short-term help and will make you more constipated if you use them too often. Fiber products would work with your body's chemistry to keep things moving normally. Good luck and I hope I helped!
References :
Personal experience and personal research

Hydro is best if you have major long-term build up. Lots of meat over many years. But has no lasting benefits for your intestinal tract beyond the cleansing itself.

Have only cleansed in conjunction with a fast, one of the kits should work fine, you also have many DIY books and articles out there.

My DIY = 2 tablespoons psyllium husks, mixed with 1/2 cup organic apple juice, tablespoon of liquid chlorophyll, 2 oz.of liquid aloe vera juice.

Make sure all liquids are cold (keeps the psyllium from expanding 2 much in the glass) unless u want to spoon this stuff out.

Follow with 8-12 oz of water, along with 2 cayenne capsules.

This should b done towards the end of your evening, then b4 u go to bed take 2 cascara sagrada bark capsules (natural laxative).

U can easily run this for 30-45 days.....try it in conjunction with a fast for at least the first few days

Would cut all these ingredients in half for the first couple of days to make sure your not going to have any problems.

After the first week on full strength you should be hittin the can every AM like clock work, will not interfere with your job.

Have run this a dozen times, once or twice a year with no side effects or unexpected surprises...it works.

Good luck
