will this help clean out my colon?

Written by admin on April 16, 2009 – 1:02 pm -

i would like to try an herbal one, but i'm waiting til after i come back from my vacation in 3 weeks…so for now i'm gonna try a natural. i leave for my vacation in exactly 2 weeks and i'm off from school all next week so i thought that would be a good time to do it. my plan is to drink a bottle of water mixed with lemon juice as soon as i wake up. i'll have at least 64 oz of water a day. also, i will have fruit juices (grape, orange, mango). i'm gonna try not to eat a lot of "solid" food (no meats, pastas, junk food, ect) mainly i wil try to stick to fruits, veggies, soups (lentil), jello, nuts and fiber one cereals. i was thinking of having an activia yogurt each day too but i read somewhere that dairy might interfere with cleansing…

does this sound like a good plan? if i do this for about 10 days, will i have gotten a lot of crap out of my colon?

The easiest and most enjoyable way is to drink way too much cheap beer every day for a week. There won't be ANYTHING clinging to those colon walls when you're done.

You should talk to a doctor…some activia and a fiber supplement may be all you need. By really changing your diet, there is a chance your body could react differently than expected…it may 'hold on' cause it senses its hungry and not being fed well? Just guessing…but medical professionals are better than Yahoo :)

Be careful with the fruit juices. Don't go drinking the sugar-laden varieties or you will be doing more harm than good. Also, a better plan would be to eat nothing but raw fruits and vegetables for just a few days, along with at least 64 ounces of water a day. This will clean you out faster and more thoroughly.

here's a better and instantaneous plan:

go to drugstore.com. search for Fleet Prep Kit 3 Bowel Cleansing Regimen. buy it and use it, following the directions. and good luck, because while that's the cleanest and lightest i've ever felt, that stuff you have to drink is absolutely awful. try putting a little bit of lemon juice in the mixture to help cut down on the taste.

and trust me: do NOT leave the house or go more than 20 feet away from the bathroom after you drink it. it takes it a minute or two to hit your system, but when it does, you'd better hot-foot it to the bathroom. however, your digestive track will be sparkling clean after all that, and the 'emptying' doesn't take long once it starts. so it's over pretty quickly and there's not much suffering.

There are a number of ways to cleanse the colon. The least invasive is to simply drink a large amount of water. The water flushes through the system taking with it an accumulation of mucus, old fecal matter, and half digested food. Unfortunately in many cases this isn't enough. Think of an old corroded pipe, no matter how much water we force through it, it's not enough to dissolve the corrosion.

There are colon cleansing treatments of herbal laxatives, teas, and homeopathic remedies. One can cleanse the colon by fasting and only drinking fruit juice and water, allowing the colon a rest from processing new solid food and get to work on the old food. A diet of raw food has also been shown to help with colon cleansing. And of course there are enemas. However enemas must be treated carefully. The solution can be absorbed by the intestines and have catastrophic results. The force of the solution must be monitored not to overwhelm the intestines. High colonic enemas should be administered under supervision.

Once the colon is cleansed, the diet should consist of as little processed food as possible, lots of fruits and vegetables and water.
