Hey Sean
What …
Hey Sean
What about fasting for detox?
From a paleolithic perspective it makes sense that we should go hungry once in awhile. Perhaps that is when the body detoxes. Lots of people seem to think that. Religions tend to prescribe it as well.

So Sean,
how does one detoxify the kidneys and the liver? Are these products the only way to detox?
I’m very much interested in doing this!!

Also, don’t the …
Also, don’t the kidneys normally expel toxins? It seems like it should clean itself. As far as the liver goes, I don’t see how it could detox. I mean correct me if you know how this works, but won’t it either continue to store toxins within it, or release toxins into the bloodstream / lymphatic system? The only other possibility is to chemically break toxins down, which may not be possible depending on the toxin.

Can anyone point me …
Can anyone point me to a legit scientific study that indicates that any of this detox stuff actually removes toxins. EG something conducted by a university that is controlled and studies for a particular toxin and a cleanse using a particular product? I can’t be sure but I’m a skeptic and I am still under the impression that detox formulas are essentially modern day snake-oil.

That’s funny. …
That’s funny. Because I can test someone’s UBAS (liver test), retest after 3 months, and get a better score after doing some detox products.
I do it all the time. Works like a charm.

Actually I was not …
Actually I was not watching all that closely, but thanks for translating. However there is no real scientific proof behind detox, all these treatments and pills, merely snake oil.

Not to sound …
Not to sound repititious but folks have been detoxing/cleansing for ten thousand years with fasting. It’s natural, healthy and free. I’m quite surprised studying fasting is not a requirement for nutritionists. (BTW, wean yourself off caffeine or other addictions before attempting a fast or you might go through withdrawl.)

You obviously …
You obviously didn’t listen to the video.
Let me translate: Americans have overworked organs of detoxification because of the chemicals in the environment. Never said they make you fat.
What video were you watching?

I’m just wondering if you have looked at GNC products, specifically the 7 Day Complete Body Cleanse, and if you would recommend them to your clients or anyone. Just curious for your opinion on that detox and anything else you might want to add.
